Dogs at Landis

Picture
People often call us to ask if they may bring their dogs to Landis.  The answer is yes!  There are only a few times a year that well-behaved, leashed dogs are NOT permitted at Landis: during our Plant Sales and during our Landis Perennial Forest 5K (check the Activity link to find the dates for these events each year).

We’d like to take this opportunity to remind you to think of others and be sure to clean up after your pets when you visit Landis, so that dogs can continue to enjoy the Arboretum as much as their two-legged family members.  To make it more convenient for you to do so, we have installed two pet waste stations on the grounds, donated by Nancy Stuebner in memory of Landis volunteer Josephine Micillo.  One station is sited near the main entrance and one by the Meeting House.  If you’ve forgotten to bring your own waste bags, feel free to use one from the pet station.

Do be aware that Landis is an untamed landscape, so be sure that your pet is protected against ticks!
