I was trying to pay online for the Soil class (non-member) and it's requiring me to choose a shipping method that costs $1.50. What are you shipping to me? If this fee is to cover the credit card fee, I'd rather pay by some other method. What other methods of payment are available? Thank you.

Hi, Arianna,

You can pay with a check by sending one made out to Landis Arboretum to PO Box 186, Esperance, NY 12065. Email Nancy at info@landisarboretum.org to let her know you’re sending the check so she can tentatively put you on the class list.

i was wondering about the $1.50 charge. Most places ask you to voluntarily cover cost to them of the credit card but its always been less than $1.00. So I'm wondering why its so high for this and if Landis gets the excess fee as an additional donation. I don't object to paying extra for the convenience but would like to know where it goes!
Thanks.

Hi, Wini -

It is indeed to cover the cost to the Arb of accepting the card. I have not been able to find a way to get PayPal to set up and offer the opportunity to pay for the cost, so we went with this ... and as always, we’re happy to accept checks mailed to the Arb instead - just email the office at info@landisarboretum.org to let us know a check is on the way
