June 19, Saturday, 9:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Those nighttime little flashes in the fields and bushes are one sure sign of summer. Some call them fireflies; others call them lightning bugs. In fact, they are neither flies nor bugs but beetles. Join us at the Arboretum for a frolicking search for these magical insects. On this easy ramble we'll learn about their life cycle while trying to capture some and spark that childhood sense of wonder in all of us. Partial funding for this class provided through a grant from Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match Program.
Location: Meeting House and Facebook Live
Instructor: George Steele, nature educator
Members: $5/person, $15/family; non-members: $15/person, $25/family. Registrants will also receive a link to a video of the class they can watch as often as desired.
